Carla’s Art Camp

In it’s 16th year, this ceramics art camp offers hand building in clay, with many techniques including slab, coil, sculpting, pinch & learning how to throw a pot on the pottery wheel. A mosaic project, color mixing & painting lesson, and glazing the ceramics are also part of each 1-week sessions. New projects: glass melting.

Students have fun creating from their own imagination, as well as making the projects offered. Step by step lessons give developmental strategies, problem solving & intuitive leaps for first time students along with kids who attend yearly.

A focus on creative growth and development, while encouraging exploration, imagination & individual expression are among the successes achieved in this camp. Each child receives individual attention & guidance, as well as freedom to create their own projects along with those taught.

Private Classes available  ( Adults & teens classes available) You can set up a special group to come to the clay studio, also I give a Girl Scout/Brownie Group clay session, or just a gathering of your friends to have a clay-play day or several. I also come to the school classroom and present a project for the class to make a take home item and I have taught a project for classroom fundraisers for the students to make a small creation to contribute for a collective fundraiser design piece such as a large platter.
